This product is the fruit of Silybum marianum (Purple Flower) [Silybum marianum (L) Gaentm], family Asteraceae, and its main components are silybin, isosilybin, silybinin, silydianin and so on. It is a light yellow or brownish-yellow powder or crystalline powder obtained by scientific extraction and refinement. Tasteless, odourless, soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, ethanol and methanol, insoluble in chloroform, insoluble in water, the main chemical constituents of Silybin C25H22O10 and its isomers and other flavonoids.
